Newt Scamander was first introduced as the author of one of Harry Potter’s schoolbooks, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. He was a tireless academician who passionately sought out information to share to others and help them understand magical creatures better.
But aside from being a best-selling author and a highly acclaimed Magizoologist, Newt is also very endearing. His eccentric tendencies may be a little annoying but his unwavering loyalty and openness to everybody around him makes him a teddy bear you just don’t want to let go off.
Newt’s outfit in the films is surprisingly well thought out for a wizard wearing Muggle clothes. Aside from the bright colors (which weren’t the hottest fashion of the time), he pulled it off.
