The Purge is the first installment in the horror series of the same name. It centers on the Sandin family who tries to barricade themselves during the 12-hour free-for-all period. Unfortunately, nothing ever goes as plan during the Purge, and the family is left trying to avoid becoming the monsters they loathed.
One of the Purge’s most iconic looks is the rich couple wearing masks that come knocking on the Sandin’s front door. The scariest thing about them isn’t that they’re holding bloody weapons or intimidating masks, but that they look like respectable neighbors who couldn’t hurt a fly if it’s not the Purge.
