Benjamin Franklin "Benny the Jet" Rodriguez is the leader and oldest member of the sandlot team in the 1993 film The Sandlot, played by Mike Vitar. He is the best player in the neighbourhood and Scotty Smalls's best friend. His nickname comes from his speed when he leaps the fence into the Beast's yard and outruns the dog to bring back the ball. By the end of the story he plays for the Los Angeles Dodgers.
