The Leg Lamp is a well-loved prop showcased in an equally well-loved holiday film. But for most of today’s fans, you wouldn’t have even guessed how little fanfare A Christmas Story got when it was released in the 1980s.
Fortunately, people seemed to fall in love with it slowly and the Leg Lamp became fully immortalized in pop culture.
In fact, it has become a really popular costume choice. Not only is it witty, but going as a leg lamp can be a really alluring outfit as well.
All you need to wear is either a gold dress or gold skirt with a black fringe on the bottom, black fishnet stockings, and black heels. Here’s everything you need to look like a Leg Lamp.
About the Leg Lamp
The Leg Lamp was made popular by the 1983 film, A Christmas Story. This well-loved lamp was designed by Production Designer, Reuben Freed for the movie, and he made three original ones. Unfortunately, all three were broken during filming.
