Gerard Way is an American singer, songwriter and comic book writer, who is most known as the lead vocalist and co-founder of the rock band My Chemical Romance, and is the older brother of the band’s bass guitarist, Mikey Way. Quite notably also, he wrote the Eisner award-winning comic book series The Umbrella Academy, which was later on adapted into a Netflix series.
Gerard Way is co-executive producer of The Umbrella Academy Netflix series. He wears a long-sleeved black button-down shirt, relaxed-fit black pants, a black belt with a silver buckle, brown Oxford leather shoes, a casual black sports coat, and a solid red tie.
About Gerard Way
Gerard Arthur Way also did some writing work for the Marvel Universe by writing for the alternate universe Spider-man series Edge of Spider-Verse, where he introduced in his story Peni Parker, a Japanese-American student who pilots a bio-mechanical suit named Sp//dr. In 2019, his character appeared in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.
