Rosa Parks is considered the ‘First Lady of Civil Rights’ and is a highly influential icon in the freedom movement. While an activist long before her fame, Rosa Parks became a household name beginning her unjust arrest in 1955 when she refused to move seats in a Montgomery bus.
Rosa Parks’ most famous look is her mug shot. Here she wears her humble blazer and skirt attire while holding her arresting number.
About Rosa Parks
Rosa Parks was already an active member of the Civil Rights movement long before her famous stand in 1955 inside a Montgomery bus. She was already helping her husband and the other members of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) as their secretary.
