Pippi Longstocking is a character that has been around for a long time, and has been the star of many books, movies, and TV shows. She began as a story that Swedish author Astrid Lindgren told to her young daughter, and eventually through the years developed into the favorite character to many children all around the world. In the first movie adaptation of this story, Pippi is played by actress Ingrid Nilsson.
