Barney Rubble Costume for Cosplay & Halloween
# Item Description
1 Brown, wide-strap tank top Full disclaimer: you’ll probably have to get crafty for this one. For starters you’ll want to get yourself a brown, wide-strap tank top. The larger, the better. Customize your tank top by cutting the edges of the main opening, arm openings and collar into zig-zags. In addition to that, turn the crew-neck into a v-neck. Add the last touch by either drawing an “x” below the v-neck or by using black shoe laces and making an “x” over the v-neck.
2 brown Tunic Another option for the main part of your costume would be to get the tunic already made with details and everything.
3 mask No, this is not paramount for your costume, but wouldn’t it be great to not only look dress-up like Barney, but also to look like him physically? Well, this is as close as you’re gonna get to the cartoon version. Check this is sweet latex mask molded into the face of Fred’s gullible and loyal partner.
4 Big bare feet costume shoes Barney is a caveman who spends most of his walking on bare feet and like every other person in Bedrock, he developed big chunky feet. It’s a pretty safe bet you will not want to be walking around without any footwear, which is why we strongly suggest you to wear these slippers in the shape of big bare feet. It matches your costume perfectly and keeps your soles clean.
5 Blonde wig Barney is blonde, so if you want you can get a blonde wig and get his unique hairstyle as well.
6 Caveman Club Optional, as Barney is a caveman

Barney likes to keep it simple with the most rudimentary of nightgowns in history. One could only imagine how many brown tunics Barney has in his closet, but they never seem to run out. On occasions he might be caught wearing his blue bear hat with horns, as he is a proud member of the Loyal Order of Water Buffalos, but that’s as different as it gets from his daily attire. Even in the movies he keeps the same style.

About Barney Rubble

Barney Rubble is the head figure of the Rubble family and the co-protagonist of the animated series the Flintstones. He lives with his wife Betty and his son Bamm Bamm in a rock house right next to the Fllintstones’, in Bedrock City. Like Fred, he also works at the Slate Rock and Gravel Company. Barney’s enjoys golf, poker, bowling and hanging out with his buddy Fred Flintstone, whom he follows meekly to any schemes of his design.

Back in the 60’s, Barney was voiced by Mel Blanc and then interpreted by Rick Moranis in the 1994 movie The Flintstones, in which he demonstrated to be way smarter than anyone had expected. Sure, he doesn’t look like the sharpest tool in the shed, but he certainly does have the intellect to run an entire company. In the 1994 movie it was revealed he had the brain power to pass an exam with the highest mark, which would entitle him to run Slate Rock and Gravel Company had he not swapped it with that of his buddy Fred, thus losing his job.

These are all sign of the extent to which Barney is willing to go just help his friends.
