The Usherette acts somewhat as a narrator for the musical, The Rocky Horror Show. She is first seen in Act 1 as someone who works in a derelict theater. She then introduces the ‘film,’ that the audience is about to watch, through a song number. The Usherette also appears in the middle of the play.
The Usherette’s costume looks very much like a retro waitress’s uniform in a diner. She wears a pink waitress dress, pink heels, a white waitress hat, and holds a vendor’s tray.
About Usherette
The Usherette was portrayed by Patricia Quinn in the original cast of the Rocky Horror Show. Quinn also plays Magenta. She is also known for her roles in The Lords of Salem, The Meaning of Life, Shock Treatment, and Doctor Who.
