About Jack Torrance
Jack Torrance, played by Jack Nicholson, is the main antagonist of Stephen King's horror novel The Shining written in 1977 that later adapted and became a very successful movie of the same name in 1980.
In the movie Jack is an author and a former teacher who takes a job as a caretaker in the Overlook Hotel on a mountain during winter break. With him are his wife Wendy Torrance and his son Danny Torrance. Things seem to be in place and perfect in the beginning, but dark influence starts to creep on Jack as time goes on. Being driven to madness, Wendy and Danny are now in great danger.
