About Lotso
Lots-O-Huggin Bear, or Lotso, is the strawberry-scented antagonist of Toy Story 3. He runs Sunnyside Daycare with a friendly, huggable exterior that hides a bitter streak: after being replaced by his owner years earlier, he seized control of the daycare's toy box and enforced a rigid, authoritarian hierarchy over the other toys, backed by his second-in-command Big Baby.
Lotso was voiced by Ned Beatty, the veteran character actor best known for Network, Deliverance, and playing Otis in Superman. Toy Story 3 was his first voice role in an animated film, and one of his last screen performances before his death in 2021.
