Punky Brewster is the lead character in an American sitcom of the same name. She was portrayed by actress Soleil Moon Frye. The show is about a young girl abandoned by her parents but was eventually raised by a foster parent.
Punky is described as a fun-to-be-with child who was abandoned by her mother in a mall. Punky finds herself in an apartment complex ran by her future foster parent. She then makes friends and lives a new life with the new family she found.
