Bonnie is the guitarist of the Fazbear Entertainment house band, and the costume reads instantly off two things: solid purple fur with a white belly, and a red electric guitar always in hand. Everything else — the tall ears, the red bow tie — is a supporting detail.
The licensed jumpsuit and half mask already carry the bow tie and the ear shape, so there's little to assemble here beyond picking up the guitar. Hold it slung across the body the way Bonnie is animated holding his, rather than at your side — it's the prop that sells the character in photos more than anything else. If you want a sturdier look than an inflatable, a real toy electric guitar in red works just as well and holds its shape better for posed shots.
Bonnie has gone through more redesigns across the series than any other original animatronic — later games show him increasingly worn down, missing his face plate or an arm. If you want a "withered Bonnie" variation instead of the clean stage look, rough up the jumpsuit's fur with a little grey chalk dust at the joints and leave the mask's eye sockets a touch more hollow-looking with dark eyeshadow underneath.
For a group costume, Bonnie slots in next to the rest of the band: Freddy Fazbear in his top hat, Chica in yellow with her cupcake, and Foxy in torn red fur with his hook out in Pirate Cove.
About Bonnie
Bonnie the Rabbit is one of the four original animatronics in Scott Cawthon's Five Nights at Freddy's, first released August 8, 2014. He performs as the guitarist alongside Freddy Fazbear and Chica on the main stage at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, and — like the rest of the cast — turns hostile toward the night guard once the restaurant closes.
Bonnie is notable for being the animatronic most frequently seen roaming early in a given night in the original game, often the first threat new players encounter, and for his distinctive late-game "withered" redesign with an exposed endoskeleton jaw. The character has recurred across numerous sequels and spin-offs in various damaged and reimagined forms.
In the 2023 film adaptation directed by Emma Tammi, Bonnie was brought to life as a practical animatronic suit performed by Jade Kindar-Martin, alongside Kevin Foster as Freddy and Jess Weiss as Chica.
