Freddy Fazbear is the character the whole franchise is named for, and the costume is built to be recognized from across a party: warm brown fur, a tan belly and inner-ear patch, a black top hat, and a black bow tie. Get the two-tone brown right and the silhouette does the rest.
The licensed jumpsuit already carries the tan belly panel, so resist the urge to add a separate shirt or vest underneath — Freddy's "outfit" is just his own fur color-blocking, not clothing over a body. The half mask is the better pick over the full overhead mask if you want to actually enjoy the party: it covers the top of the head and eyes while leaving your mouth free, and it still reads as Freddy at a glance because the hat sits on top of it.
Two details separate a good Freddy from a flat one. First, the hat: his sits noticeably oversized and cocked slightly to one side, not squared away like a ringmaster's — don't steam or shape it into a perfect fit. Freddy Fazbear is the titular mascot of Scott Cawthon's Five Nights at Freddy's, a horror franchise built around a fictional pizzeria chain whose animatronic performers turn homicidal after closing. The first game launched on August 8, 2014, and the format — a night guard surviving from midnight to 6 a.m. against animatronics that stalk the building — spawned more than a dozen sequels, spin-offs and a movie.
