‘OK, Karen!’ is a phrase you’ve probably been hearing more and more. It’s actually a general moniker pertaining to middle-class white women who are prone to exhibiting privileged behavior. They are your stereotypical people who belittle those in the service industry or wave around their beliefs against people of color.
As such, Karens are usually depicted with a short, choppy cut (and you best hope you won’t get called a Karen sometime soon). But if you do want to look like the Karen 2020 meme, you will need a shirt that says ‘Need to Speak to the Manager,’ a classic pair of denim jeans, oversized sunglasses, dangle earrings, and of course, a short, choppy wig.

The moniker "Karen" is believed to have several possible origins, but the most commonly linked to it is based on a joke punchline in the 2004 film Mean Girls. When the term is used, the widely used image associated with it is a white woman with Kate Gosselin's 2008 haircut.
