About Raggedy Ann and Andy

Raggedy Ann and Andy are rag dolls. They star in a 1941 cartoon film of the same name. The film follows two nameless rag dolls who were on a mission to get their names. On their way, they met a Spanish doll who have made the Boy Rag Doll fall in love with her, causing the Girl Ragdoll’s heart to break.

When the Spanish Doll asked for the Boy’s name and the Boy said he did not have one, the Spanish Doll dismissed him for being a “nobody”. This inspired the boy to finally get his name and look for the Girl Rag Doll. When they met, the Boy gave him her name, Raggedy Ann, and they professed their (now-realized) love for each other. Then they got their hands sewn together so they will not be separated again.
