Stu Macher is Billy Loomis's best friend and the goofy, loud-mouthed life of the party in the original 1996 Scream. That is what makes the reveal work: the guy cracking jokes and asking for another beer turns out to be one of the two Ghostface killers. The costume is easy because he dresses like a regular teenager, and the Ghostface mask is the quick upgrade.
Getting Stu's Look Right
Stu's main outfit is the light khaki ribbed crewneck sweater, and you can see it clearly in his promotional photos. Wear it with blue jeans, a thin black cord around your neck and a chunky black watch. Mess up your short brown hair a bit, because he never looks styled.
For a lighter daytime outfit, wear a loose tan or brown short-sleeve shirt over jeans, with the same watch. It is a different outfit from the khaki sweater, so choose one or the other.

Carrying a prop knife? Make sure it is obviously fake, such as foam or soft rubber, and check the rules of any party, event or convention first. Many places ban prop weapons and masks that cover your face completely, even toy ones.
Group and Couples Ideas
Stu works best as part of a group. Pair him with a friend as the second Ghostface, then add Casey Becker with a white sweater and a cordless phone, and Sidney Prescott as the survivor. Stu always has a beer in his hand at the party, so bring a plain red cup if you want a prop.

Stu Macher was played by Matthew Lillard, who is also known for Hackers, Scooby-Doo (as Shaggy) and SLC Punk!. Stu is Billy's partner in the Woodsboro killings, and the film ends when Sidney drops a TV on his head.
