About Lurch
Lurch, played by Carel Struycken, is a supporting character in a 1991 comedy-fantasy movie The Addams Family. Carel also played as The Giant in Twin Peaks.
Lurch is a butler or manservant to The Addams Family who often communicates with other characters via simple inarticulate moans, and even though that's the case, his employers are able to understand him perfectly. His job, which he really proud of, is to manage and take care of the house, but he often knocks things down with his tall and big body.
From time to time, Lurch is annoyed with his employers' chaotic situations and dramas, yet he shows his loyalty to them by doing his job continually. And before soon, he naturally becomes a part of the family.
