About Optimus Prime
Optimus Prime is the main hero in the Transformers franchise and the leader of the bio-mechanical Autobots. They are living and sentient robots from the planet Cybertron who are able to change their robotic bodies to another form of technology that they have observed and scanned. Optimus and his Autobots initially hid on earth as common, everyday vehicles, but was forced to come out upon the arrival of their rival Decepticons, who started to harass the people of earth.
Optimus Prime was voiced by Peter Cullen. Cullen is also known for his roles in My Friends Tigger & Pooh, IGPX: Immortal Grand Prix, The Savage Dragon, and Chip ‘n Dale: Rescue Rangers.
