The Weeknd whose name is Abel Tesfaye, is a Canadian singer and producer. He had the beginning of his career in 2009 when he uploaded his song “Do It” anonymously on Youtube.
His stage name came from their beginnings with his bestfriend at seventeen when they “left one weekend” and never came back. He removed on “e” to avoid copyright claims from one band also called The Weekend. His songs include Save Your Tears, Blinding Lights, Call out My Name, and more.
