James Kidd Signature Outfit
James Kidd’s clothes is no different from Mary Read’s. The look is very practical and unisex. James wears a white blouse underneath a rustic green jacket with a regular pair of tan pants and high boots. He also has a red scarf wrapped around his head to cover the hair and his feminine face.
About James Kidd
James Kidd, or Mary Read, is a character in Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag. Mary Read, as a woman who takes a man’s role - being a pirate and a member of the West Indies Brotherhood of Assassins, she must creates another identity of a man named James Kidd, a bastard son of the famous Scottish sailor and privateer named William Kidd, in order to maintain her position as a respectable pirate.
Later on in the game, James Kidd joins Edward Kenway on the journey to find the Observatory. One year later, James and Edward reunite on the mission to hunt down Prins and Laureano de Torres y Ayala, the Templar Grand Master.
After spending time together, James grows to trust Edward enough to reveal his true identity as Mary Read, then specifically warns him not to share the secret to anybody or he will get ‘unmaned.’ Mary might be adventurous and easygoing, but her persona of James embodies strong leadership and great courage.
