About Five Nights at Freddy’s
Five Nights at Freddy’s was developed and published by Scott Cawthon on Desura in August 2014. It was also released on Steam the following month. Cawthon was inspired to make a horror game when reviewers commented that his family-friendly game’s main protagonist look like a ‘scary animatronic animal.’ Thus, Fazbear and Co. were born.
