About Master Splinter
Master Splinter is a character in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise. He used to be Hamato Yoshi in human form who owned a pet rat. When he became a mutant rat, he also assumed the role as an instructor for martial arts and ninjutsu.
He is also cosindered the adoptive father of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Like any sensei or teacher, he is described as serious and mature, imparting his knowledge and wisdom to his sons. He hails from Japan and settled in America, hence his Japanese outfit.
