Jason Momoa's Lobo is the biggest scene-stealer in Supergirl: a fanged, cigar-chewing alien bounty hunter in a spiked leather vest, a long coat and a chain so big it has a grenade on it. Make it look heavy and used. Lobo is a big, rough biker, so wear the coat open, scuff the vest and stand like you own the room. Add black jeans and boots to finish the look.
Safety note: Keep the grenade and hook obviously fake. Use foam or plastic props only, don't swing the hook near people, and check the venue's rules on props.
Getting the details right
- Spikes go low on the shoulders. The film's spikes are lower than in the comics, because too many large spikes are hard to film.
- The chain is the joke. Make it bigger than you think is sensible.
- Face. Pale skin, black eye makeup and a wide smile show up from across a room. The Hot Toys figure of the film's Lobo has a pale, painted face and a full dark beard.
- Comic version. In the comics, Lobo has chalk-white skin, red eyes, long black hair and a spiked leather vest. For that look, skip the beard and paint the whole face white.

- Lobo and Supergirl: Lobo appears in the film with Kara on her journey through space, so pair him with Supergirl.

About Lobo
Lobo is a DC Comics anti-hero, an alien mercenary and bounty hunter from the planet Czarnia, who first appeared in 1983 and became a cult favorite in the 1990s. In Supergirl (2026), he is played by Jason Momoa and helps Kara while hunting the lieutenant of a gang of space raiders called the Brigands. He rides a motorcycle, the "Spacehog", in the film.
Supergirl was directed by Craig Gillespie and written by Ana Nogueira. It is the second film in the DC Universe, after Superman (2025), with Milly Alcock as Kara Zor-El, and it reached U.S. theaters on June 26, 2026. It is based on the Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow comic, which doesn't include Lobo; James Gunn added him to the film, calling him "the biggest comic book character that's never been in a film."
