About Michonne
Michonne's most popular weapon choice is her katana sword. Wielding a katana isn't an easy feat. In fact, Danai Gurira, the actress who played this beloved character, had to do extensive training to make Michonne's spectacular swordsmanship come alive in the TV series.
Gurira had to train under a stuntman who is also an expert in wielding swords. She also did some research for her role by watching lots of samurai movies and training non-stop.
