About Barnacle Boy
Like his mentor, Barnacle Boy is a mixed parody of DC superheroes, mainly Aqualad and Robin (who are sidekicks of Aquaman and Batman). But it was revealed that both Barnacle Boy and Mermaid Man are not just inspired by comic heroes.
Their real names also took inspiration from the voice actors that portrayed them. Barnacle Boy’s real name Tim is a homage to his voice actor, Tim Conway.
